The revolutionary former Cuban leader Fidel Castro has died after ailing for the past ten years. During his rule of almost fifty years, the bearded revolutionary defied ten U.S. presidents and charted his own course for his country. Now what can be said of a man who survived over six hundred assassination plots , a man who came to power at age 32 - and eventually died from ill health at age 90. The late Fidel Castro was most definitely a survivor.
