Smartwatch or classic timepiece?

November 28, 2016 2:36pm CST
I'm thinking about purchasing my first smartwatch. I'm not looking at the most expensive ones. I wouldn't spend 300-500$ on a smartwatch. What do you think? Is a smartwatch, with its smart functions, heart rate monitor, music player and cool factor, really worth it or does a classic, analog watch still come out on top with its classy, elegant look?

I would prefer the ordinary sort you wind up. However I think those days are long gone.

A smart watch is tomorrows trash. A watch from companies such as patek philippe or rolex will hold its value.

Of course, if you have the money to buy one to begin with.

I cannot wear a watch because the straps give me skin problems. I use two lovely fob watches, one a gift from my late mother and one from my girlfriend. I am never one to buy the latest technology, so if I did get a smartwatch it would be many years from now.
