It's how we, Filipinos, call The Nativity. As far as I know, this makes the essence of the commemoration or celebration of Christmas among us Catholics. Decorations in every dwelling is not complete without the Belen. How about you, my friend? Do you also have a Belen in your home this Christmas?

I would love to have a bigger one but only have a tiny nativity scene. For many, many years we always went to my parents for Christmas and we never got around to getting a 'proper' nativity. It's one thing I regret.

I also dreamed of having a bigger Belen, but my family can't afford it yet. I am just too glad that my only sister (elder), sent the above thru a Balikbayan box, last year. This makes our Christmas decoration complete!

@JudyEv That's what my dearly beloved said too. But I still dream for a bigger Belen. But not so huge that it will not fit in one of our tables for the Season. Maybe I will be able to have it next year. Yehey!

@KnehKnah Yours look lovely. It doesn't have to be huge to be meaningful and special.

In Germany, Christmas decorations in private homes are put up only one or two days before Christmas.

Wow! And they will remove the decorations right after Dec. 25 or after The 3 Kings on Jan. 6?

We don't have a belen but I want to buy one, even a small one for our house. It's nice to remember the scene during the birth of Christ.
