The End of NaNoWriMo

Final NaNoWriMo

This was my first (and last) try at NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). The idea is to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. I had a novel I've been working on and ignoring for about four years. I finished it. It's now a 103,000 word monster, but it has a beginning, a middle and an end. It may take another four years of editing before it's presentable, but it's complete. YIPPPEEE! I plan on ignoring it at least until January or until I finish another project, a compendium of 100 reviews of pre-1900 speculative fiction. That project is almost done. Wish me lots of luck. I will need it! When it's done, I plan to self-publish it. And then alert the blessed media. Anyway, that was how I spent my November.

Unfortunately I forgot all about it this year and I was super busy with moving my parents in and my husband working over there that I just plum forgot and missed NaNo this year! I have tried in the past and never actually finished it. I do however have an idea in mind from last year that even if I do not do it during NaNo I plan to try and complete it sometime soon...If not there is always next year

I wish you the best of luck. You've had a lot on your plate. I can see why a little thing like that may have slipped your mind. Best wishes for the all the moves and for the holidays and (EEECK! Can it be that time so soon?) the New Year.

@msiduri Thank you. It has been a lot and spent a lot of time at my parents house. My husband pretty much redid their whole house for them including the floors. It is all worth it though because for a few years they lived about 3-4 hours away..Now they are about 30 min away if that (more like 20 probably) I hope you have a great holiday as well...I cant believe Christmas is almost here and my daughters b-day is on the 14th so have to plan for that soon as well!

I started off doing alright with the NaNoWriMo, but then I lost my document on my computer. So it didn't go as I had hoped, but I'll try again next year.
