On November 24, 1973 Ringo Starr became the third former Beatle to release a song that became a number one hit. The song was “Photograph”. The song was on his 1973 album Ringo. The album also included another number one hit “ You’re Sixteen”.
“Photograph” was co-written by George Harrison, who also sang on the backing vocals and did a 12-string guitar solo. The other former Beatles had a hand in Ringo’s album. On the song “You’re Sixteen” McCartney contributed and did backing vocals and John Lennon wrote the opening track of Ringo “I’m The Greatest” on which he played the piano and sang backup.

Most of the songs by the Beatles are still popular after all these years.
