Will you take and eat the hard candy?

I don't know when here the places like post office and banks will have a plate of hard candies on the desk. They are free for the customers. I like hard candies but I feel embarrassed to take it since I am an adult rather than a child
But in my heart I really love eating them
There is an exception. When my son and I were in Changi Airport. I consulted the information desk about my flight situation. Then I saw those lovely hard candies. I told my son to take a few candies for me

Since my teeth are not in good shape, I avoid candies. However, when I was young, we had a neighbor that worked where they made candies and he used to give us bags of candies and we ate a lot of them.

I have no qualms about grabbing free candy and I am an old person.
