Call me the Christmas movie couch potato, but I truly love Christmas stories. On many movies, the Christmas trees play a central image, when characters marvel around that familiar fir tree I usually call pine, and they decorate the tree with noels and a star or an angel on top, not to mention the pop corn around the tree and the wonderful colorful gifts underneath. And when the trimmings are done, the characters light up the tree and they go WOW. I go wow, too, but sometimes, I don't understand why these movies go through such a familiar setting to show the spirit of Christmas.
Then my sister in California narrated to me this morning that she was literally brrrr with the cold, but the smell of the air with all the Christmas trees for sale was making her feel so warm and wonderful, as Christmas should be.
Oh well, that is what I missed, the smell of Christmas brought upon by the pines, the evergreens, or whatever these trees are.
I'd like to smell that one day. Just because I love Christmas,

There are certain smells that bring Christmas instantly to mind. Pine is one of them.

True, Wish my city at the outskirts of the metro come to adapt a special Christmas scent, but our climate is not conducive to planting pines. What we have is charcoal baked coconut flour dawn time, and people buy that for breakfast, We call it bibingka and putobungbong. The smell is so yummy. The taste is so heavenly. Ha ha.

Yum alternative. Ha ha. Caters to the sense of taste, actually. :) We love to eat. And if I could share the bibingka and putobungbong to you, I would.

@eileenleyva It's good that you have such a nice alternative to pine.

And now I'm going to get out the pine scented wax cubes and put them in the warmer. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes I was. Christmas has been diminished by the commercial business. I do my best to really meditate on the waiting for the birth of our Lord, and detach my self from the buzz. But I do love watching people almost on the verge of collapse from shopping for gifts, and smile at merriment Christmas brings. Cheers to you.
