Some town in the US decorate the town Or city with Xmas lights every year. Which means the town or city have to pay the workers And the gas for the trucks.in some small towns Some workers do volunteer their time. But the city and town trucks are still being use. So how much does the lights cost and we're do they get the money?

@eagletrek2 If this is the case, you should sign a petition to stop the habit to decorate.
