HOW YOU SLEEP.

What is your favorite sleeping position? According to some health experts, the way you position yourself to sleep at night could affect your health both negatively and positively. For example, sleeping curled up on one side, could be more or less damaging depending on which side (left or right). Apart from minor health problems --wrinkles and saggy breasts could result. The suggestion is that sleeping on one's back is the best bet -- but not the best thing for snorers. I am most comfortable sleeping on alternate sides (haven't seen any wrinkles yet) but I remember years ago getting nightmares whenever I slept on my back. In my view the important thing is getting a good night's rest so whatever position you are comfortable with - that should be it. How do you sleep?

I have always slept on my stomach. I've tried other positions, it doesn't work for me.

I start out on my left side, roll to my right, lay on my back, and then to one side or the other.

@Kandae11 I can only lay in one spot for a short period of time before my body cramps up and needs to change position.

I start off in the fetal position and then go into every other position there is. I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep each night. They also say that not getting the required amount of sleep causes aging, too.

I sleep on my sides, both back and forth. I have noticed here lately that sometimes my ribs hurt. I just can't seem to sleep on my back.

There is some truth in what the experts say. I remember feeling rather worried about a shoulder pain, then I realized it only came on in the morning, so I changed my sleeping position and it went away.

Funny you should ask. I slept for 25 years on my stomach. But one month ago I started sleeping on my back.

Well, the experts say that is the best way, because the spine stays in a natural position all night.

@Gita17112016 Sleeping on your stomach, the spine would still be straight I suppose.

@Kandae11 Ha ha I wonder if my body took 25 years to learn that! Hruumph! It's pretty dense!

I prefer to sleep side ways and keep changing sides during night. Change of sides happens voluntarily and involuntarily both during night. I read it somewhere that if we sleep on our left side, we would be in a better position. We would not only get sound sleep but this position is good for our heart and brain. It is difficult for me to sleep either on my back or stomach.

@dpk262006 Left or right, both sides are okay for me. However one side may be more beneficial than the other.

Lie in bed straightly is my favorite way for slepping, other positions you mentioned in this article are difficult for me to get sleep.

Night time is the best time....Sleeping to rest the mind and for that any position is good position however, I prefer lying on the sides for sleep, don't know why but it helps.... Keep shining and sharing. ... :)

I also sleep on alternate sides. I'm more comfortable that way, wrinkles or not. I agree, as long as we get a good night's sleep.
