There's an old saying: "saying 'house trouble' is redundant. If you have a house, you have trouble." The same thing goes for a car. I suppose that's why many people choose to rent instead of own: the toilet breaks in an apartment, call the landlord; but the toilet breaks in your house, you call the repairman...and get out that credit card.
My toilet was listing to port, so I had a friend investigate the problem. The subfloor was rotted, that's why! So up came the rotted wood and down went some new wood.
The bathroom needs new tile now, but the toilet is working.
Next time someone asks you what the most important thing in the house is, tell them the toilet. If you don't believe me, try going without one for a few hours!!!!!

Yes, that is for sure. I have a problem with getting there on time sometimes. I get so into what I am doing online I wait until the last minute sometimes. Havinga working one is so wonderful.

That happened to us in our old apartment. When we moved downstairs to our present digs, they had to gut it.
