I'd like to become a writer

I am at the moment jobless. And being on the net is just my way of getting out from the reality and moving on.
It is so fascinating to read a lot of articles written by experienced writers, especially here in mylot. I am so thankful I became a member in this site. Thanks to whoever it was who posted the link.
At first I was hesitant to try this out because I have a minimum experience in writing, I maybe bashed, and I still have my job. I only appreciate it when I tried to write my feelings out. It is more than earning a dollar. It is a great relief.
I'd like to seek help from you all mylotters out there, could you tell me a part of your secret in writing? I think I'm going to need it. Thank you in advance.

I see this place as a discussion site.
It used to be way more open for discussion but now not so much in my opinion.
But it's still the best site on the net for those that like to talk as long as they follow the rules.
As a newish member I'd say welcome and read this link in full

Like @Mike197602 said, myLot is more a discussion site than a writing site and you do not need to be experienced to post here. Many members, including myself, are not native English speakers. I have no secret, I start a discussion when I think I have something that might be interesting to discuss with others and have fun

You can write about quite everything if you follow the guidelines that you will find in the link to the help section given by Mike. If you do not understand a rule, you can start a discussion about it, and you will find many members to help you.

that's the good thing here, if new or older members don't understand something there are always people that will help
