Can't find right time to bathe him

Philippines

I just can't bathe my dog in this weather, usually I bathe him every once a week noon. I don't bathe him in a cold weather as he got fever twice! Perhaps I should try and bathe him inside the bathroom, something mom wouldn't allow. Anyways, Im hoping for the sun to come up anytime this week because it's been dark lately. I wonder if there's advice for me what time a dog should have their bath?

When I had a dog, we always bathed him in the bathtub and he was fine.

I think your dog should be bathe when the sun is already shining , so he won't get cold and have fever . That's same with us humans .

@Letranknight2015 Just let him be rather than him catching colds if you bathe him in these cold days .

Okay, well that's why I don't take him to bathe yet @SIMPLYD even though he's a bit dirty now.

I recommend that you don“t bath your dog during the winter, instead let him lick his own fur naturally. After winter time, then you can again bath the dog

We only have rainy season here @quantum2020 but it's really cold. It's hard to see him dirty today but I just couldn't risk him having fever again.

Keep in mind that dog do not have to be bathe frequently. Does he get that dirty so much that he needs this. then he must be an outdoor dog?

Yes, he's an outgoing dog. He's not allowed to be inside @amadeo

Can you towel him off after you bath him? Would that help avoid a fever?

I would towel him though @JudyEv but not enough to ease his shivering because of the cold weather.

I bathe mine when they stink or have had a especially messy weekend. You know? Rolling in the mud and stuff. I usually just put them in the tub, give them a scrub down, and then have lots of towels ready. If you want to dry the, off more quickly, use a hair dryer.

Hello @Sasquatchy Unfortunately, we don't have a tub here for him to bathe on. I don't even have a hair dryer, maybe I really considered buying a new one.

Before Lunch is ideal for me because the sun is burning hot and the food will warm the body of the dog.

Yes, I do the same thing but right now at this moment even if there's sun, the wind is up @CaptAlbertWhisker
