When I go and have my blood tests, I have to follow some irritating rules.
I have to have a fasting of 12 hours. Now I think that that must be around 12 hours. Yet the girls where I go to show my papers ask me at what time did I have my last meal. Once I was stupid enough as to say the truth and they would not let me have my exam for 15 minutes.
Now I go with my watch. And when I reach the counter, I know exactly to the minute the time I have to say.
They look at me with suspicion: are you sure? they ask. Yes, I say
I looked at my watch.
So, now, I´m going to eat something. Usually I don´t eat so late, but don´t want to cheat too much

I usually have tea at 6 PM before Leticia goes and later on I have snacks. So now I had to make an omelette and decided to eat it around 10 PM.

@DianneN I cannot be a whole day without food. And I think it´s not healthy.

@marguicha Sometimes I can go all day without eating if I'm busy. It doesn't bother me. Other days, I can eat the house!

I don´t mind fasting too much. But the hospital where I go is an hour from my house.

I usually have my biggest meal of the day at lunch. And I have tea with bread and something nice at dinner except when I go to a party or have visitors at home. Then it is usual to dine at 9:30 or 10 PM.

This is one thing I hated about blood work fasting but the best thing is eating after.

Leticia did not want to make sandwichs today so we will have real colombian coffee at a place I know and some sopaipillas.

I'm sorry, I hate having to fast. That's the worst part of some tests for me. I hope it goes quickly and smoothly for you. =)

For me the worst is having to get up and shower so early. I´m acostumed to do all the work at home, even lunch, and then shower.

I do. And tests are quite good. I have cholesterol levels a bit high and plaquets a bit low. Normal.
