Hi myLot! Here we are on the eve of Christmas eve already! I have so many great ideas for what to write about as pertains to the Holiday season, so please don't be surprised if my Christmas posts continue far past Christmas. But then this usually happens to me. I get super inspired for the Holidays after they are over. But go figure. I would love to hear about some of your decorations! About mine? I don't do a lot of decorating however I do like to put out some easy-to-put-up decorations. There are a couple of tree themed pieces as well as poinsettia placemats on my kitchen table, the apartment door bears a couple of holiday owls and a stocking. Of course there is my nativity set. It is an inexpensive one, purchased after Christmas some few years ago. My dad re-painted some on the figures to make them more luxurious. Of course I have a small tree which I like to decorate in color themes. This year is multi-colored lights with pink ornaments. And pictured we have my nativity water globe - and my ceramic Christmas tree. These were popular in the US. in the 1970s - people would make them at a pottery class. Now they are wildly collectible. I recently purchased some of the colored plastic "bulbs" to fill in some spaces where I had lost pegs. Now let me know about yours? Photo: Mine

Even if we celebrated, we wouldn't decorate. Cats would destroy them within five minutes.

Lol, yeah -- my folks have to deal with my cat (well, she's theirs now) She's been pretty good though, I'm surprised

@FayeHazel - Ours are good for the most part, but they have trashed all the blinds. Christmas decorations would be right up their alley.

@teamfreak16 Lol, that's funny, I could picture it. I don't know why Kiki hasn't tried climbing yet, but they had a talk with her -- I think she listens

That's a very interesting tree. It is amazing sometimes just what becomes collectible and what doesn't.

@FayeHazel We have enough cords and bits and pieces to start a museum I think. :)

Interesting, isn't it? Sometimes I wonder if the old electronics will be collectible

I have one of those ceramic Christmas trees, too. I did not know they were considered collectible now. I bought mine at a church Christmas bazaar in the 80s, when I was a kid, it was probably one of the first decorations I bought myself. I wasn't able to locate it this year (well, I didn't really look because I put little effort into the whole thing this year), but I know I still have it. It should just need a new light bulb. I try to always put up certain decorations, even if I don't go all-out. My mom's Hummel Nativity set, my grandmother's "Noel angels" (they each hold a letter spelling out "Noel", my mom's elf decoration (looks similar to "elf on a shelf", but is from the 60s or 70s...and NOT poseable...nearly had a hysterical fit when a friend tried to take him out of his seated position. lol). Also my mom's Rudolph ornament and several others from my childhood. (some pictured above). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone.

I have nothing. I'm Jewish, so have a lovely sterling silver menorah. That water globe is cool!

Christmas in my area of Lake Charles is kind of calm.

Aren't they splendid. My goal is to have a forest of them
