My nutcracker Ballet Christmas

Many years ago I was in my first year of University in a strange city, I received a Christmas gift of a ticket to see the nutcracker. Now I knew something about the nutcracker ballet since my mother taught ballet when I was a young child. She was a school teacher who developed an interest in ballet and took training on her own time to become certified ballet teacher. I recall her always conducting ballet rehearsals for students at her school and for other events and groups. So I was excited to go and see The Nutcracker all by myself even though I never had any interest in ballet dancing. It was beautiful! I always remember this kind gift I received at Christmas many years ago. I hope to see the Nutcracker again - with my mom. Have you ever been to the ballet? Image Pixaby

That was a lovely gift for you. I went to see a performance of Swan Lake many years ago and loved it.

I recall my mom doing a version of swan lake with her students but I never saw the show. I always imagined it would be great.

I used to lay by the Christmas tree in the living room and watch it while I stared at the lights on the tree. It was magical when I was a child. I have never been to the ballet or the theater for that matter.

I had ballet lessons when I was little, but didn't progress. I love seeing performances though.
