Where to celebrate the New Year?

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to think about the New Year. 
Me and my family want to travel (but we haven't yet decided where we will go... This is the tricky part of traveling with the family, because opinions often diverge

We don't really travel here in this household, we normally stay inside and enjoy the new year together just my mom and I. I hope whatever you choose that you call can compromise and enjoy whatever you do!

My Dad and I are both of the opinion that New Year's Eve is for amateurs, and there are entirely too many of them out that night behind the wheel driving when they shouldn't be, so I'll just be home with my cat and a book.
