More on the Really Big Oops..

As I mentioned yesterday, hubby lost his phone in Niagara Falls, which is about 2 and half hours from us. Someone found it and called my phone to let us know they'd found it. So hubby had planned to go up there and retrieve it last night.. but then he got concerned. The guy told him he'd meet him at the store (where the phone was lost) at 8:30, and when hubby Googled the store hours, he saw they closed at 5. So he was really concerned about meeting a stranger in a store parking lot after closing time, and in the dark as well. So he ended up calling the police. Today the police went to the store and retrieved hubby's phone for him and will hold it at the police station for him to pick up. Turns out it was a store security guard who had found the phone.. so really hubby's worries were in vain.. but it's better to be safe than sorry, right? Hubby will be driving up there tonight to pick up the phone..

I can understand your husband's concerns. It is such a shame that we all tend to be more and more suspicious of others these days.

You read too many stories.. and it got him worried because he had no clue about the person who found the phone. It's much safer at the police station!

Your husband was smart to investigate that first. You can't be too safe in this day and age. Glad it worked out well for him.

No you can't.. better to be safe than sorry. I am glad that it worked out, and that he has his phone back! That would be really expensive to replace (he's not the type who can deal with a cheapo phone!)

I think being careful in these days of troubles everywhere was the way to go. Good for him for being suspicious.

Yes, now he can just pick it up at the police station and not have to worry about who might be waiting there for him.
