I have seen some people here going after money and they have misunderstood the meaning of Interaction....... Earning money is so good, Even I need to earn more money. But messing up the discussions is not the way to earn money... I rarely comment on comments... I mean commenting on other peoples responses... Only it is relavant I just leave a comment on a response... But I have seen some people here always comment on other peoples responses, sometimes it is not related to the post or the response. Its irritating... You may not agree with me... But it mess up interesting discussions and also it makes unnecessary notifications... Liking a comment or reaponse is ok... But messing up with irrelevant comments....I dont agree....

I understand your point. It's irritating to me as well. Some people write things on your comment, which is no way relevant to the topic or discussion. Like you said, all they look upon is earning more on the discomfort of others

@amandajay I think notifications are indicator of how much response your post or comment is generating, so I personally like to see high number of notifications.

@avi256 but the actual count is 1/3 of all the notifications most of the time...

However if the comments they interfere is vague and not worth it as their is no meaning, no earnings really are happening. But say, I comment on this, you and the original poster interacts then it's a win/win. But if there is nothing to grow the interaction, why bother chiming in.

@oracle1ac What I am saying is, we are building from the discussion so it is earning. But some responders will just respond vague to what you wrote, but for what? By writing "Yeah" it's just no meaning and I highly doubt you'll earn anything - does that make sense sort - of, I am not good at explaining. From my understanding if I am commenting on a discussion and someone else jumps in underneath and just says 'yeah', 'yes' or just an emoji it'll be annoying unless it's the original person who wrote the discussion and they're responding to me then that's OK.

@infatuatedbby ok like what me and you are doing now, we are actually talking about this post by amanda right and we are doing it in an interesting way, are you saying that at the end of the day that we are not earning and at the same time making money for her for posting this trend we are on?

I totally know what you are talking about. I will chime in if I have something to say or build from the comment. Or, if I know the person and I know they don't mind. But if someone does mess up the discussion, with my name (@) I will still respond, but it does get irritating and could be repetitive.

@amandajay nothing wrong with that ultimately you're getting the earnings since we are interacting with you!

I think it's down to each individual what they like on their discussions as there are no rules about it. Personally I don't care if people talk amongst themselves on my discussions.

@amandajay Interaction is really the key here. That's why they give comments as long as they want..

I know what you mean. Like if we comment on a response made by a fellow myLotter that is totally unrelated to THEIR discussion is simply distracing.

@valmnz When that happens we have no scope to interact on our own resp[onses I remember one of my responses got hijacked. I was so peeved that I deleted that response (lol)

@allknowing I like that term. I remember when I first came here I politely asked one couple to move on when their continued interacting on my post almost seemed like flirting.

I actually don't mind at all, sometimes the comments and responses give me a good laugh or make me smile. =) This is a site to have discussions after all-no matter where it is located.

We all have our own ways of interacting. If I want to jump in and make a comment I will do it. That's what it is all about. Yes, sometimes the comments lead to tangents, but what does it matter? This isn't brain surgery!

Since the application is in such a way that there is no control over who can jump over whose discussions, there may be such situations sometimes. But I do understand your concern and sometimes going off topic could be a distraction.

@amandajay Yes Blocking is best solution, but that works only when you know a certain person who is coming over to the topic every now and then. But what if the persons change over topics to topics, then how to decide whom to block?

I completely agree with your post, but I think you mean "interaction" right? I think it is important to interact on the posts to build the community, but when you aren't commenting something relevant, it is pointless, and yes, irritating. I wish we could delete comments from our posts. We can report them though. It can get time consuming reporting them all...

Here in mylot I have seen its not bad to put some comment if you look what different people are feeling, saying and wants discussion on. Its a discussion forum, now everything has prose and cons................over commenting may sometimes take out real fun of the discussion, but its a part of how things works............Having said that ................you are most interesting person for me today..............as you put such a great discussion
