Do each one of us have a true purpose in this life, for our living it?

There is always another hidden purpose behind our own perceived purposes

Everything, I think, was created for an underlying purpose, but that was God's purpose, not ours. God has a purpose for his creation, but he also allows each individualised portion of it to form their own uniquely formed individualistic purposes. As we grow from finding and growing from, and from passing the results of our obtaining, achieving and reaching these purposes, onto even larger, more encompassing, purposes, we will eventually connect to God's underlying, overall purpose for ourselves, which universally present in us all, is also the real purpose of God's. This is also the purpose which lies behind God's creation of all creation, and which is simply to love it all in the highest, and the best possible of ways, and God wants us all to learn and all to understand how to do the same thing too, to love it all, in the same way, that he does. What do you think, do you think that you know what your own purpose for living this life is? Does it come to you from within yourself as it is, or perhaps it might come to you from your higher self instead?

Yes, I believe that everything has its own individualised separate purpose, as well as its extra functioning purpose in the overall scheme of things too. We all have "two" purposes at least then.

I believe we come with unique individual passion and talent. To really fulfill our potential we need introspection and a higher self awareness which most overlook. Only few are able to live through life with an awareness to do good and serve the creative process. The inner prompting is always there but we tend to get carried away by outside noise from the material world drowning out the inner awareness. Then we leave this world empty handed. So I feel we need to do our own part to do justice to our innings granted here. But the void due to our ineptitude will be filled, however, by the inbuilt mechanism of the creator. I believe in individual and collective karma of human species more than for others due to our higher consciousness - siva

You make some good points there siva. The life of the follower follows the followed, but the life of a leader follows no-one, not even themselves. They lead and others follow. They blaze new trails. Creation leads and all follows, and in this sense, God leads us all as the only real creator of all, but we can lead ourselves on through life too into unknown, uncharted waters for us, and only a true leader can do this. A follower just stays in the shallows and follows no-one, not even themselves. When we lead, we are following our true purpose, when we follow we are not.

@Shiva49 I like how your consciousness is high enough for you to be able to place one leg on each side of the wall. One leg is linked into Heaven's side, whilst the other is doing what it needs to here on the Earth. Yes, our role is important, and we are instruments or tools of God's. We can streamline ourselves as tools, though, and fine-tune our consciousness so we can be used more delicately on the finer tasks. Very well put again siva.

@innertalks I cannot but quote the Bard: "There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures." I think the real fortune is higher consciousness which most fail to be aware of or, rather, they are led astray by transient and flippant interests and too soon they reach the end of their journey. I feel we are tools but also co-creators. Our Creator has a mission but leaves some of the work to us, to test us of our mettle, maybe, for mightier challenges later on. I feel that applies to individuals and species too. We can do with all our might and leave with mission accomplished or empty handed with a sense of having blown it - siva

I think maybe we have "our" purpose and once we fill that and we aren't fulfilled then we look for God's way.

That's a good point. Some of us do seem to have "our" purpose. I have never valued any such purpose of my own, though. I have been looking for God's purpose, behind his creating me, for all of my life. If I could find that, I think that my purpose must be inbuilt somewhere into his purpose for me...LOL..and so then I would then know my true real "own" purpose too, if I know his.

For such kind of discussions, I was here, and Thank you so much for posting this. I think this most of the time, I try to tell my family and friends about it. They do believe what I say, but since life is too busy, we often have to leave these discussions incomplete. I believe every one of us has a certain purpose in life other than education, making a living for ourselves and raising our kids. I think above all these, lies the actual truth which we aren't able to see, or many of us know but still we tend to ignore. I had been to churches, temples and various meditation classes, they are helpful and kind of enlighten you, but still there is a weird unknown curiosity that often comes up and leave me in questions. Grrrrrrrrrr Back to the virtual world, what is your take on this? Whats your actual purpose of life?
