emptychair Perhaps the lone fireman should have waited for backup, instead of risking his own life like that, but I guess that he assessed the risks, and so made the call to rescue the poor stranded dog.

emptychair I wonder if he was wearing a life jacket at the time, as it appears, he has one on in the photo, and with an injured leg, he could not tread water so well, so the life jacket must have also helped to save him, plus the quickness of his rescue.
