A Fitting Funeral

A lady from our church passed away on Christmas. Her funeral was yesterday. It was interesting to learn about her life. She was a very giving and loving of people. I took a big 8 quart crock pot full of green beans seasoned with bacon and almonds. We were at the church more than four hours, serving the meal and putting left over foods away and cleaning up. The lady who organized this has had a foot surgery recently. She baked sixteen pounds of meat loaf. I was glad I was able to help. Also glad that I put the crock pot in a cart and walked, as there was NO parking left for us. Because it was different things than I was used to doing, I am sore today It is okay, I am going to take an epsom salts soak here pretty soon. Other than that, we are being very low key today and tonight. I will see you around. You can hear and feel the anticipation of the new year both on MyLot and everywhere else. Those who are striving for payoff have about fourteen hours to go.

It's wonderful you were there to help - sounds like it was quite a gathering for that lady. Have a relaxing day and evening as the new year rolls in!

Usually I have to work instead of help. I like to show support for the family and for the other ladies who do a lot of the work.

It was good to have a nice soak. I need to put that on my weekly schedule as it does help. I just hate to take the time to do it.
