Have you ever wondered about your privacy while in an online session at a computer that is in a library, connected to the public library database?
Well?
The library is part of a public internet system and the threats of cybercrimes is real, so does the library do some snooping?
Just asking.

I do not know that the library itself does any snooping, but it is vulnerable to data breaches. I will not put sensitive information, like for banking and credit cards on there.

Thank you. I avoid them, but they do help those who have no other access.

I used the internet before but I did not go into my checking accounts or pay pal accounts. I just did research.

I would not check my bank statement online at the Public Library.

I think it best to err on the side of caution.

@lookatdesktop Definitely, especially where potentially sensitive information is concerned.

I only use public library computers for general lookups. No checking emails or any sites requiring sign ins and passwords.
