Anyone thinks of loosing weight this year?

Philippines

Because I totally screw it up months after loosing a couple of pounds. This morning I might start with the exercise, but slow this time and wouldn't want to rush myself. What's even sad is that the relapse is just fast after I stop doing exercise for a month because of sleep troubles. But at least that didn't stop me from eating vegetables from time to time. I hate the fact when I get interrupted, I get distracted easy and that went wrong last year. Not sure how to do it right this time. You have any advice, specially to those who made it?

Trying that...but ...kind of binge eating happens...and even worse, its cold...morning walks can only be delayed some...because of which they become shorter.

Hello @jstory07 Yes it seems that eating habits can contribute to either weight gain or loss. Last year unfortunately caused me to eat more.

I spent many days on the treadmill for an hour at a time over a few months last year with little results. Must be my eating habits. With the Fit Bit I am more motivated (I got on the treadmill for 10 minutes today with the intent of going back on in intervals) but my eating habits have to change. All that chocolate I got for Christmas is not going to help.

@Letranknight2015 What I am finding most interesting with the Fit Bit is that it monitors my sleep. It tells me how long I slept and how many times I woke up and/or was restless and how many minutes that totalled up to. I have fibromyalgia. We do not get into a deep restorative sleep. So looking at two days where I slept for 9 hours, there were still several minutes throughout the night where my sleep was disturbed indicating not a very good night's sleep. The calories you eat has to be inputted by you, which I'm not doing. I don't know how to calculate how many calories I ate at a given time. I input my water intake. It counts my steps and tells me how many times I got up and moved around and tells me the total distance walked throughout the day. It's really quite interesting.

@patgalca wow, that sure helps. unfortunately I've come to realize that I've been sleeping a little less than six hours, which explains i get sick lately. i could try that fit bit some day.

I can't last for even twenty minutes on the treadmill even for walking @patgalca . I wonder how that fit bit works, but you're right it's the eating habit that's causing you to gain more weight. But my problem back then was also exercise, which i didn't for a month or two.

Lots of discipline. It is hard in this society that makes us have a short attention span. Do not feel bad, I have a couple of friends who are on a diet every other month. Their favorite saying is my diet starts tomorrow. I cannot help but laugh. I am not trying to be mean, but at some point is either just except the fact you are the way you are or actually do it.

Well, I don't want to shock myself. But at least I've been consistently eating vegetables almost thrice a week @crossbones27 well, time to start over.

Yes, I plan to diet this year, once the holiday season food is used up - which won't be long. I have already weighed myself today. The problem has been a massive difference in readings between the two scales I used. I think I know what I weigh, though.

Hello @asfarasiknow I usually weight myself once a month, that reminds me of doing it one of these days. But weight scaling doesn't even help.

@Letranknight2015 Someone once told me that you should never weigh yourself on a Monday because you will have over-indulged over the weekend. The weight gain can be very discouraging.

I do not really feel I need to lose weight but exercise to tone things up and keep my heart healthy would be good!

That's one of my reasons for exercise and that is to keep my heart pumping healthy @shaggin

You're lucky and I envy you there @PatZAnthony I can't even grow okra's here. Must be the soil I'm using, maybe it's time for me to buy the real gardening soil and see what happens.

Hello @ms1864 I don't think it's something we should just remove from the list, it can be vitally dangerous if we don't even try to loose weight or eat our veggies.
