We have many cat experts here at myLot and one of them categorically states that if a cat sits with its paws curled in that is an indicator that it is very comfortable in your company. This stray that visit us seems to be comfortable. I love this cat although it does not mew but visits us every day

She looks very nice. I had not heard that about paws, but can see the logic, she is hiding her claws and not defensive.

You made my day. I can visualise that scene. "On your mark go" kind of situation.

For a stray cat, it is not shy around you then.

cute kitty. I have heard that if a dog curls up and sleeps, it is mostly to protect it's belly from attack...if they spread out...that are comfortable with their surroundings and trust it. This mostly applies when it is not cold....in the cold the curing up is just to keep warm.

There is some logic to that I suppose - if the paws are curled up the cat is not so ready to take flight.

I love cats too. Sometime we hug our cat and refuse to let her go until she keeps meow meow telling us that she is mad then we let her go. :)

Don't hug too tight and that could be the reason why your cat wants you to let it go
