Family Tree Horrors !!!

I have 2 sister who apparently married the same man. Each claims to have given birth to the same son. Even on the son's marriage records, (he was married twice), one sister is named on one and the other listed on his second marriage. I have spent all afternoon trying to figure this out. I'm thinking that just maybe one sister married "Jacob" had one son and then she died. The second sister steps up and adds 4 more children... just one problem with that. The son in question is smack in the middle of the group. And if that isn't enough, every one of the girls in the family have names that could be interchangeable! There is an Emma Jane, a Jane and an Amy...
Any thoughts?

no... not my sisters... but they are on my family tree. I will give it a break... spent way too much time yesterday trying to figure it all out. Need fresh eyes!

Doing the family tree you will dig up all kinds of family secrets and mysteries. That sure is a confusing one.

I was thinking that the two sisters had to be the same woman because the names were similar, but sure enough they were both born into the same family with the same parents!
