The wind is howling too hard to go out and clear the driveway/decks etc, so darling daughter is busy in the kitchen making a chocolate cake. The amount of calories burned today should warrant a very large slice for everyone but me... the family diabetic. And her cakes are pretty good if you like chocolate. She usually doubles the amount called for and then adds chocolate chips on top. Your favorite cake would be...

Yes, at least there is cake at home. My favorite is also chocolate. Good that you are looking after your diet.

Diabetes is a horrible disease and I have seen what it can do. I'm happy with just a spoonful or two. :)

@Hate2Iron I know that here in the stores and at market they have signs that say products are just for those with diabetes. I guess you have that same situation which can be a great help.

That's the way that I go as well... she must have a little pioneer in her because everything has to be from scratch!

@Hate2Iron Ah yes... though I'm not diabetic - I have to be careful with chocolate for gallbladder reasons. Poppyseed cake is so wonderful, I've only seen it 1 place though...

I like chocolate in most forms but not in cakes. Chocolate chips in cakes is okay but chocolate cake is always too rich for me.
