Music Tracks Not Listed on Their Album Covers - The Beatles – Her Majesty – Abbey Road

This 1969 number may be the best known hidden track, coming in after fourteen seconds of silence when the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight listed closing medley ends. Though only 23 seconds long, The Beatles made three stabs at recording it for composer McCartney (Lennon is credited to it but had no hand in its composition), but Paul lost patience and gave up on it and asked for it to be scrapped. Fortunately, the recording tape operator, John Kurlander, obeyed EMI orders to preserve any Beatles material as a shrewd financial investment. The track was issued despite McCartney’s wishes. The gap after Carry That Weight was partly there to dupe the composer. It worked. The Beatles had received MBES from Queen Elizabeth in 1965 so McCartney’s odd immature fantasy of getting to marry her (despite her long established marriage to Prince Philip) seems an odd but charming idea. It is a fun song to wrap up their penultimate album with. Had they foreseen that their most embarrassing track for many fans would be the same album’s Octopus’s Garden composed by Ringo they might have hidden that instead. A rather nice, short piece written by Paul McCartney. The Beatles- Her Majesty The song was originally placed between "Mean Mr. Mustard" and "Polythene Pam";...

That video isn't available in my country it says. I enjoyed the mystery and such in the Beatles albums. Always something new and interesting.

I haven't listened to Abbey Road for decades and had forgotten about this. Must admit, I always preferred the Let It Be album, even though it seems to be a collection of leftovers and covers.
