My husband and I were engaged on Friday, June 13, 1975.
Couldn't have been bad luck. We are still married (to each other) and are still happy to spend time in each other's company. We have together created five beautiful children, who have presented us with eight adorable grandchildren.

yes i just looked. i cringe also. not only is 13 bad for me but most friday's in general. for some reason this house gets crazy with things and people. stuff always goes on worse

I am superstitious. Isn't Friday the 13th supposed to be unlucky for some? I think everyday is Friday the 13th for me.

Not true. I don't believe it. the 13th got something to do with the Templar's extermination, that's what we got the friday the 13th for.

Yes you are right about that was seeing a Documentary about it on Discovery Channel I think it was and its supposed to be considered a bad day because of that.
It was quite a long program about the Templarians all over the World.

I am aware that it is Friday the 13th this month and in UK this was cause to be supersticious. Here in Italy though it is not the 13th but the 17th which is supposed to bring bad luck. I can't keep up with all of the differences so I gave up bothering about either of them and, touch wood

@JolietJake I guessed that would be LOUD so I had to wait to hear it because it is just after lunchtime here and I know my neighbours have a nap at that time

When I was a kid, a whole downtown near where we lived burned down. My brothers were helping the firemen with the hoses or trying to anyway. All the stores and businesses were destroyed or badly damaged It was on a Friday the 13th. I never forgot that.

@celticeagle yes belief can be a powerful influence. I'll always laughed at black cats, broken mirrors and walking under ladders. But energy does change with the weather or so it seems?

Not at all.Whatever could happen to you or anyone else can happen any day of the week anytime. Its just an old belief that ´s all that has been passed down to us nothing more than that.
Of course there are people who will be afraid of that day and things can happen too but they also happen any other day of the week.
