After my sons short science test he got an hour and a half break. He was so happy about it. As soon as Math class started though he started crying that he was hungry for lunch. He had breakfast and a snack so I would not give him anything else as it was way to early for lunch. Then after about 15 minutes of crying he said he was sad and started crying harder and told me that he is sad that when people die and go to heaven that they never get to come back down to earth again. That was the only spot of the day that was rough. At the end of the school day my son told me what a great day we were having! You have no idea how nice that was to hear! He drew targets on 10 sheets of paper and numbered the papers. He set his nerf guns on the ground in front of them and we ran all around the house while being timed doing this obstacle course he had created. After his online classes were done we took a break before starting the homework and played monopoly. My daughter and I worked on starting a chia pet that I received for Christmas. It wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. I created a new local freebie group on facebook the only one there is not moderated and so there is always for sale things being listed. I made my own so I can moderate it and will delete and sale posts and ban anyone that tries to post them all the time. I had a bunch of Amazon gift card codes in my account. I used $80+ tonight to buy a tempered glass screen protector for my Google Pixel C tablet as well as a protective case for it. I also bought my daughter a keyboard to play music on. It will arrive in about a week and we both are very excited. The photo I added was the lava lamps my son and I got hooked up and watched today. The smaller one is a new one that my daughter got for Christmas. The larger one is mine from when I was young and is a much better quality then the ones they make now!

I have a third one that was only used once. I dropped it and it messed up so the wax was at the top. I heated it up an kept shaking it yesterdat until finally by the end of the night it was starting to work well then the heat light burnt out lol. Just our luck. I will see tomorrow if walmart has any of the bulbs.

@shaggin I'm surprised you have the patience for that. I'd toss it in the trash. Lol!

Must be so hard doing online study when the temptation is every part of the house

Some of the students read very slow and that makes it hard for my son to pay attention and follow along at times. I thought the lava lamps might be nice for him to look at as a calming thing when he gets frustrated.

@Letranknight2015 I don't know if it will help to calm him or not as I have only really gotten to use it the one day but I am hopeful :)

@shaggin so those lamps calms him down, that's great. I didn't know lights like that can calm some one down.

"Then after about 15 minutes of crying he said he was sad and started crying harder and told me that he is sad that when people die and go to heaven that they never get to come back down to earth again." Interestingly, the Bible speaks of a new heaven and a new earth. This is mentioned three times in the Bible.

@shaggin No, in this world he won't see him again but in the next he can. This life can be filled with many heartbreaks and sad events.

The newest one my daughter got with the glitter that floats around is the smallest one I've ever seen. About how tall is the one you have? My son wants one now.

@shaggin That's good. It must be tiring for you as you don't really get a break from it all - or so it seems.

@JudyEv No I don't get much of a break I'm used to it as I've never had anyone to help me. My parents were too busy helping take care of my sisters kids and my father in law had a child at 50 so he was busy with him. My late husband went to work then to his friends houses when we were together so he was no help either. My break is after they go to sleep.
