Cold, freezing temps - yes, the south is cold. However, life doesn't stop. My husband wanted to go to the local Piggly Wiggly for a few things (snack food mostly!) I wasn't thrilled but I went along for the ride and to supervise the purchases!
Getting in that cold car and watching the temperature drop from 45 in the garage to 21 out on the road was a shock to the nervous system. The heat wasn't coming on fast enough for me. Then I remembered - we have heated seats.
Nothing cheers me up faster than a hot butt!

@mysdianait We didn't know we had them...one day I started pushing buttons and couldn't' figure out why my butt got hot!

Oh my goodness, I remember the first experience I had with heated seats. I had an unusual sensation on my bum, and I thought there was something wrong.
My friend started laughing at me and explained what it was.
Once I got used to it, I rather enjoyed it.

@AbbyGreenhill It definitely did! I would love to have a car with them now, though, especially when it gets cold. I can also put my hands on either side, and it can keep them warm as well, because it seems I always have cold hands.

I wish it were 21 here, then my washing machine wouldn't be frozen and I could wash the towels so I could shower tomorrow! There's nothing worse than going to work without showering in the morning.. which I've already had to do a few times this year due to freezing pipes.

@AbbyGreenhill The washer has been frozen all weekend, we finally got it thawed so we can do some laundry. A few weeks ago the pipes in the bathroom froze but hubby insulated them so they're better now.

Those heated seats can really make winter bearable. In some areas (Bahrain) there are chilled seats.

@AbbyGreenhill I suppose so but when Vince comes home having been shopping unsupervised it's like Christmas unpacking the shopping bags. You never know what you'll find.

@AbbyGreenhill We are enjoying winters too these days! Winters usually lasts in Delhi for 2-3 months, so we kind of cherish it. For remaining 9 months, its remains sunny which most of hate tbh :P
