Blisters and footwear

My mood was good today until I got blister on my right heel. I always get blisters on my heels if I did not wear socks before wearing footwear. But I can't always wear socks for every footwear, I mean, fashion wise, would be super weird if I wear wool socks for high heels or wedges. I can only wear socks with sport shoes/ sneakers. I know there some kind of thin socks that can be wore with high heels or sandals, but it's not working for me. They're not thick enough to protect my heels from blisters. I have tried wearing different kind of footwear from sport shoes/sneakers, high heels, sandals, wedges, ankle boots, flat shoes, and flip flops. And they all give me blisters now matter how good the materials and they are perfectly fit for my feet. I always have to prepare band aids in every purses/bags/clutches that I have just in case. Once my boyfriend bought me crocs sandals cos he thought may be it won't give me blisters, but it did give me blisters too even worst cos it only took me walking for about 50m to start feel pain on both my heels. I have to always cover my heels with bandaids before wearing them. I usually walking when I have to go out to buy craft supplies for my works, or hangouts at nearest malls/deptstore cos I spent almost all day sitting doing work so at least I need to walk when I have a chance. And because of blisters sometimes I feel so lazy to go out even when I need it to release my stress or boredom. I have my favorite flipflops that I bought 2 years ago, I wear them to anywhere except to church or formal party. But 3 weeks ago they started worn out and and I could not find the same kind even in their brand store. They are not rubber flipflops kind, the straps are made from weaving fabrics and the sole is so soft and comfortable and prefent from slipage. Now I need new flipflops that atleast is comfortable to wear for a long walk and looking good to wear along with casual outfits.

My advice would be buy some gel inserts for your shoes. Saying that...if you get blisters from crocs it may be you just have very sensitive feet and the inserts may not help.

@mrswhitfield I work in a kitchen. From 7am until 11pm with a break in between. My feet used to hurt a lot. Then I bought new boots and also the suggested gel inserts. Since then I've had no problems with blisters...but the gel inserts are pricey if you get the best ones. Added £14 to the £80 safety boots.

@Mike197602 wow that's a long hours. I'm making puppets so I spent most time sitting for cutting and sewing and I can feel it's just as tiring as if standing for long hours, and sometimes feel pain on my back too. I will give the gel insert a try, it's pricy indeed but worth to try

I have found that some soft gel heel pads work very well for me. The ones that I use are called "party feet", and they can actually protect the bottom part from blisters and they don't let the feet slide. Have you tried them?
