It's quite strange that the photo keeps on being tilted.
When I fixed an image (using the laptop) I also made it smaller, and I uploaded it again.

@suhail1 Yes, and it was a square (1:1) photo.
But I think all shapes should be fine.

But I have noticed quite a few pics are sideways

@suhail1 I do not get you. Don't you have a 'Paint' or any other photo editor with you. It has to work. Since you have already stored in your laptop it is there you will have to use Paint

@allknowing the thing is the photo is in perfect way in the laptop, it gets tilted only after uploaded to mylot

Sorry I don't know of any other than like your friend suggested about the laptop. Hope you get it worked out.
