This is Whitby Abbey. We went there maybe around June or July of 2015. About Whitby Abbey.. according to Wikipedia it is a ruined Benedictine abbey overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby. Under Henry VII Whitby Abbey was deprived during the Dissolution of the Monasteries.. again, we were lucky that it was sunny and windy when we went there! i remember that the wind was a bit cold already... but we were sweating when we were climbing the 199 stone steps where you can see-- an overlooking of the harbour, sea, and the town.

I love Whitby, although it's been many years since i was last there! I do seem to get attacked by seagulls whenever I go near those steps.

i also panic when seagulls flying near me. haha i don't want to get BEEP! hahaha and yes, i do miss the beautiful Whitby :)

@therealmaryyy I find that if you walk a few yards behind an unwitting first-time visitor who is munching on fish and chips the seagulls tend to leave you alone.

Oh that picture is beautifully captured . And those ruins are historic . The clouds too are so nice to look at against the blue sky .

Some old remains are very 'elegant'. It's such a shame to see them falling into ruin.

Awesome shot of Whitby, the day I went there it was horrible, I took some photos but it as so dark, said I would go back again some day, that was 5 years ago lol.
