Others will laugh at the amount of snow we've gotten, saying it was but a "drop in the bucket."
Well, we don't get that much snow in our "neck of the woods" and so any amount, no matter how paltry, is something to write home about.
Some parts got ten inches, I want to say ours was more like five. It sure is pretty, and I haven't been out in it enough. The past couple of years, especially since I started working third shift, has seen me sleeping through the snow. When it is still there, I tend to look out but not go out.
Tonight I decided to go out and walk in it a little, just before it starts to melt tomorrow. Truth be told I hope it's melted enough to be deemed safe to drive in, I'm craving Mexican food.
That's beside the point though, I took this picture and titled it "I took this in tonal to make it look pretty because it was taken in the dark."
Did I succeed? Does it look "other worldly", "vintage" even?

It does look very spooky. I think if the neighbors didn't have their porch lights on it would have been better.

Think I might find a program and play around with the picture a bit later. It didn't come out quite like I had intended.

I think it looks like a pic you took in the dark, LOL!
Although I'm used to snow, I'd still rather look out at it than go out in it!

@ScribbledAdNauseum Sadly it's kinda the same around here. I mean we almost always get snow, and a few decent storms each year... but like last year was mild. The temps barely dipped much below 30. We had snow but no major blizzards.. and we actually didn't even get a lot of snow. We still didn't get any droughts though because we got a ton of rain in the spring.
Everyone said this year was going to be awful to make up for last year. So far it hasn't been. We've had a couple nasty storms.. but then we get warmer temps and everything melts.
Today we had freezing rain and sleet. That made it fun to drive home on a sheet of ice!

@katsmeow1213 Yikes! We expect rain tomorrow, and while it's warmed up enough and the main roads are fine, the secondary's still aren't. The kids still haven't gone back to school and won't tomorrow it seems.

haha, well I'm still impressed with it, even though it didn't get quite the effect I was going for! lol!
Ours can be so rare, some years we have it bad, and others we hardly have any!

It's of the oldest tree in our front yard. Many memories were made in and around that tree.

Yes, it does look other worldly. We have had two grey days with temps in the 30's. A bout a week or so ago the weatherman I watch said that to date we have had more snow than we usually have all winter. We usually have very mild winters This is the worst one since 1983.
