SCARED TO FLY

After migrating to England at age twenty, he visited his mother and other family members back home, just once in forty years. It 's not that he didn't love his mother, or want to see her - but he was terribly afraid of flying. So forty years after leaving his homeland , he plucked up enough courage to make a two week trip back home - and just a year later - his mother died. I myself simply hate flying, but if I must, I will fly. In this fast paced world when it is sometimes necessary to reach one's destination in the shortest possible time -- flying is the best alternative. Given the choice I would much prefer traveling by ship. Are you afraid of flying ? - and given the choice - what mode of transport would you prefer?

Yes I'm scared and anxious to fly. Last 2015 our trip to Davao city will need us to fly on airplane. I was telling them my apprehension as it is my first time to fly. Then I see little cute children included in the flight and I calm down. I think nothing will happen since we have this beautiful children inside the plane. That's what I think so I would not panic

You can also think of the thousands and thousands of flights which take off every day, every minute - all around the world - and how often do you hear of one of them crashing?

As a means of getting somewhere quickly, a plane is best. If you want to make the travelling a part of the holiday, a cruise is best. I don't mind flying at all, it's all the airport hoo-ha that is a hassle.

That too - very tiresome -- especially during the holidays.

I grew up an Air Force brat and spent a lot of time on planes. I loved being in the air.

I love all forms of transport. I do like the exhilaration of take off and landing that is the best part of the flight. The in between bit can be a bit boring but I treat that as an adventure too. The food the films and have a snooze and before you know it it is time to land. The longest flight I have taken has been 17 hours,

Would you believe that is the only part of flying which I don't mind - the take off? but no for me the landing is the worst - that is when I get that awful pressure in my ears. I doubt if I could survive 17 hours. Perhaps a sleeping pill might be the answer

It is not so much flying \I don't like but the length of time in the air. I can manage anything under 2 hours.

I used to do a lot of flying before I moved to Israel. Now, I do not fly here. I used to travel by bus or the train. Now, I travel by my mobility scooter.
