Why is the fireplace unhappy? I would love a fireplace, even if it was given to bouts of depression.

@Rollo1 ambiguity for the place where the fire is - not wanting to leave the house because it would be cold outside - it reduces home to a mink lined prison for me and the heat

@arthurchappell I would prefer to be by the fire. Or rather, I would love to go out, have the wind slap my face with wet, snowy fingers and then retreat to my fireplace. Better than paying the electric company for inefficient heat from the radiators. But I like cold weather, it's just who I am.
