This is one issue I wish was not so common and so hard to treat. Especially when either you have lacj of insurance and can't afford anything or the ones you might be able to afford you can't take because you are allergic to something in them. The latter part with being allergic to everything now is the Story of my life. And then I finally get decent Medical insurance again and everything the Doctor is considering trying for me, my Insurance won't cover. Makes me wonder if Health even really important for them? I just am hoping things do not continue to get worse in this matter as time goes on. For those of you here who are Diabetic what has been your experience and what do you find is working Best for you?

My husband is diabetic and we make use of our local clinic. If not for them and being able to get some of his meds through a low cost plan I don't know what we would do. More expensive medication he just doesn't get. It's got to be difficult with so many allergies, I feel your pain. Maybe you could talk to your local clinic (if you have one) and they can help with meds.

I am on Medicaid, so I am lucky. It pays for everything.

The insurance game is one that really irks me. How can they decide if something should or shouldn't be covered. If a patient needs something to help with their condition it should be a given that it is a covered item.

Health insurances don“t cover meds in my country. But we can buy an extra insurance that covers some of the most catastrophic ailments.

Sorry I can not really compare as our health service is not insurance based. It is free for all citizens. Diabetic services are quite good with annual eye checks and annual blood checks. one word of advice is not to buy any foods that they tell you is for diabetics as they will contain other things that are not good for you. Just eat a normal diet but obviously smaller portions and that it is balanced and varied.

Australian Health Insurance is totally different to what you have in the USA. It must be very difficult to cope with illnesses in your case.
