This is Just for the Moon

I'm feeling a little under the weather so I'll be heading to bed early tonight. Before I go, I wanted to leave you with this picture I took last night of the moon playing hide-and-seek with the clouds.

@allknowing It took me about two dozen shots to get this and one other that I liked. Thank goodness for digital photography.

Beautiful picture! That would be a great setting for Halloween!
I always love when there is a large halo around the full moon, which indicates either cold weather or storms are on the way. It's been a while since I've sing a ring around the moon, and unfortunately, I've never been able to capture one on camera. But it is pretty cool to see.

@moffittjc The issue with camera phone zoom is it is not really increasing the magnification, it is digitally enlarging the picture and at a certain point it will pixelate, distorting the image. They'll have to overcome that before long lenses will become obsolete.

This is a beautiful photo. Whenever I try to capture the Moon looking glorious it always comes out a tad blurry!

Sorry you're not feeling well, but wow, what a gorgeous picture! I was out and about last night, too, and it was lovely to see that night bright moon and enjoy the warmer temps.
