Apparently that's a thing. Thundersnow. Not to be confused with Thundercats. I suppose it could be a misprint ... Thunders now, it does.
We were supposed to have heavy snow early this evening.
It forgot to drop by. Silly Snow.
He's supposed to come a'knocking overnight, but I suspect I shall wake up to a very unsnowy exterior. I don't mind this. Two fractured elbows in twelve months makes me a tad wary of all the jolly white stuff.
And then I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
I did wake up to no snow, but there is a bit of sparkly frost and some of yesterday's rain puddles have developed a lovely crust of ice. Pretty, but dangerous. Snow still has an appointment scheduled for about eight this morning, but I expect he'll simply flutter by and refuse to settle. He does not like to settle in this moist land of England.
It's Friday, which means it's Toddler Niece {she's not a Baby anymore!} Day. Fun with Panda! Fun with Peppa! Nursery rhymes! Story books! Playdough! Crayons! Friday is always a Fun Day. I hope your Friday is a Fun Day too!

Although I live in the southern United States where it never snows, during one of the few times in my life where I have seen snow I encountered a very rare phenomenon where there was visible lightning during the snowstorm. I couldn't figure out why my friends were all making such a big deal over it, because I'm used to seeing lightning all the time in Florida, but I didn't realize it's not something that happens very often when it's snowing!

@Poppylicious Are you in London? I saw a couple of my London friends on Facebook posted pictures of it snowing in London

I have never seen it happen. And I don't think it happened yesterday in the end. There must have been a lot of disappointed people in London last night. It must be quite amazing to see.

@moffittjc No, I'm about seventy or eighty miles from London. They had lots more snow than we did.

You could put some Peppa on. I'm sure she's on YouTube somewhere!

@Poppylicious Many trees have fallen and the snow freezes as soon as it touch ground with such strong wind. I hope it will not reach the south.

Yikes. We get predicted gusts of about 25mph and everybody starts to panic!
