We Had Quite A Day Yesterday

We started out with the local Post Office and Staples and then headed across town to Ollies. I love this store and don’t get to go that often. We were probably there for at least a couple hours. There is so much to see. I purchased several books to read and SEVEN grown-up coloring books. They were only $1.99. Now, I won’t be needing any coloring books for a LONG time. The variety they had was huge. It took me a long time to select the ones I liked. I also purchased three rugs. One for the living room, an area rug to replace one that I’ve had for about twelve years. A welcome rug for the front porch, which also needed replaced and one for in front of the kitchen sink. It has roosters on it. All the rugs I had, needed replaced, so I was happy to get such a good price on those. Then we had lunch at a Jamaican Restaurant. The food was really tasty. We had never eaten there before. I’ve been to Jamaica twice so I was interested in eating some Jamaican food again. I had a jerk chicken sandwich wrap. I really liked it. After that we went to our favorite Thrift Store and we were there for over an hour, mostly looking at books, but found some other things too. The paperback books were only 25 cents and the hard cover books were 50 cents. I bought a whole bagful. And another bagful of other items and only spent $11. When we came out of the Thrift Store, it was dark, so we headed home and I was really tired. We had planned to go to several other places but ran out of time. I didn’t even get any groceries, so I will have to go back out today. We really had fun though. My daughter and I love to shop together and we had her 13-year old grandson with us. It was a very busy day. We make a day of going to Thrift Stores about once a month and just enjoy seeing what we can find. Do you like to shop at Thrift Stores?
