Now it's the flowers?! Another mylot violation.

I think some of you have seen the insurance advertisement posted here in mylot. I reported it and I know other mylot members did the same thing. It was a violation of the mylot rule and I'm 100% certain it has been deleted the moment the admin received the flagging.
When I opened mylot just now, here's another advertisement! And this time it's flower delivery!
Are they trying to test mylot? Do they want to piss off the admins?
Would you avail of these services being advertised in mylot discussion? Or would you just report it and wish that the admin would block whoever is blatantly violating the mylot rules?

It shouldn't be. How could they expect people to trust their business when they rampantly violate simple rules in mylot? They don't have credibility.

@toniganzon I think their only purpose is to post their links when joining.
They probably have no idea about the rules.

@toniganzon If the rules were explained and the same story happened again then I guess the only way is reporting. I can't think of any other solution.
The older version of mylot had a limitation and we couldn't post links unless we had some experience in the site, I am sure you remember that. That was another way of protecting the site from spam.

I would report them and not use the service.

That's the smartest thing to do and you're the only person in this discussion who has actually answers my question of whether availing of that service or not.
So thank you for that. If i could rate you, like what we used to do in the old mylot, i'd rate you 5 star!

Yeah it was immediately deleted. Owlwings told me that the admins are on the look out most of the time now. I was just at the right place at the right time.

@amandajay Beats me, I don't have the time to check their profile. I only have the time to hit the report button.

It's good if you didn't because it only means that it was deleted right after i reported it. These users have been banned already, but they could just create another account using another email address.

That's what I did. I always do. That's why most of the people who commented here said they didn't see it anymore.

Not really a problem. Facing spammers in mylot is nothing new. It has existed even before I became a member here 7 years ago. The good thing now is that the admin keep watch 70-80% of the time for this kind of violation. As long as members report such violation, they will be deleted fast.

It happens on all sites. Sad, but true.

That's because I immediately reported it and was deleted right after. People were not supposed to see it anyway.

That's true. They don't survive here for long because owlwings said the admins are here most of the time and when somebody reports such violation, they immediately act on it.
I just came at that moment when the post was just made. Right place, right time. Unlucky them.

I'm really good at spotting violators. And you should read owl wings comment in this discussion. I learned something new.

Have not seen anything like that but then I have not been on too much or I have been really too busy to notice.
If I kept seeing it I would tell them yes.

Yeah, as a responsible member of mylot, I must report it. I love this site though I'm not consistently active here. But 7 years of using this site, I just know that I should be doing my part.
