Why is it SO Difficult?!?!

I have written on here before about how I finally decided on becoming a dental hygienist. The problem was finding a school with a good program that was also accredited. Well I found Fortis which being 1 hour away was the closest school with a dental hygienist program that is accredited. I go on the website and try to learn more about it other than the vague description on the site. The person that first answers is not even the person who is supposed to give me any info, just someone basically making sure that I am interested in attending the school. That person transfers me to a second person who is supposed to give me a little more info but not all the info on the program. The second person then takes my email to have someone email me to talk about me going to an informational type of orientation thing where I will then be able to get informed completely about the program and financial aid.
Why is it so hard to just talk to me on the phone and tell me what I need to know? They asked me where I live and I told them, they know im an hour away so why do I HAVE to drive an hour to the school for an informational orientation type thing?
The icing on the cake, something I was never told on a previous call is that their semesters for the program are one in January and one in June. I can't take the June one because our anniversary is in July and they refuse to tell me what type of schedule I should expect being in the program. So I guess I will be waiting until next January to apply. They won't even tell me over the phone if my FAFSA grant will cover the program costs since it is accredited.
To me it just seems like they make it super difficult to get information. All of the information could be given over the phone. The tour of the campus that they want to give in that informational orientation could be done by itself after just informing of what the course schedule is and what to expect from it.
Is it just me being whiny or do you think this info should just be given over the phone at least to potential students who will be traveling quite a ways away to attend?

I went today and I learned that there is a lot of paperwork and procedures to follow in order to just apply and get in.
