UPDATE On The Enemy Post

I wrote a post earlier about how we "thought" a chicken hawk had taken our rooster and 4 hens and had definitely killed 1 hen as she was still in the laying box dead. We had walked all around the BIG pen looking for them, but apparently they were hiding under the debris. We were checking to see if the "enemy" would return to kill off the remaining 3. When suddenly our Plymouth Rock rooster (the "Rock") came out with the 4 hens huddling up behind him!!! The "Rock" put up a good fight as he had blood on his toes/talons and blood was dripping off his spurs, blood on him, none of which was his blood.. Granted he was missing some feathers and looked a little rough, but he fought off a big partial albino red-tail hawk and saved 4 hens. Once he knew he was out of danger he crowned as if to say the "Rock" was still in the house...come and TRY to get me again!! ~Peace~ photo is mine of a feather the "Rock" lost in a fight
The hubby was just getting out of the bathroom when he heard the chickens making noise. Pandora (our dog) was also fidgety. So the hubby let Pandora out and...

How cute that he led the girls to a hiding place. There is so much we do not know about animals. Hope you are treating his wounds.
