Truckers

There has been a shortage of room for long haul truckers to park around my area. The truck lots are closed. Department stores are saying that some truckers can use their parking lots which I thought was nice of them. The Blues, which are the mountains into Oregon from our direction, have been closed so truckers can't get through.
Traffic has changed considerably in the last 30 minutes. Snow has been coming down heavily most of the day now. Almost white out conditions on the freeway.

So a lot of truckers are stalled until it's safe to pass?
We have a truck stop about thirty minutes from here, but I do know that truckers park in the walmart parking lot sometimes.

That's right! Yes, Walmart and another big department store here has given the truckers the okay to park in their lots in certain areas.

@celticeagle I'm glad they've given the okay for them to do so. Lord knows walmart parking lots are certainly big enough to accommodate the truckers. We have a section of the parking lot here that is not even used!

@ScribbledAdNauseum .....Yes, they are. And Home Depot here is too. Poor truckers. Some are having to stay in their trucks to keep track of their stuff.

Worst winter since 1983. Another snow day today. Josh has been in school one day since the Christmas break was over. Twelve days since Christmas break was over and he has been at soon one day and then another snow day.

@Jessicalynnt .....A regular day today and so maybe it won't be so bad. Just have February to go. I am hopeful. I doubt they will take any summer time away, just the sprink break if needed.

The Blues have closed several times this year so far. Bad winter.
