In Tamil Nadu, India Bull fight called Jallikattu was being played for thousands of years. About two years back based on a petition from PETA, the Supreme Court banned the game and it has not been played. This year it is supposed to be held around mid of January -- during Pongal Festival. It could not be conducted. Hence thousands of college students and others are demonstrating peacefully in various parts of Tamil Nadu -- more especially MARINA BEANCH (second largest beach in the world), Madurai, Salem and other places. An ordinance is expected to be passed allowing conduct of Jallikattu. Throughout India this is the talk now.

It was very interesting in the early days. Our forefathers didn't have civilized ways of passing time and entertaining themselves like we have today.

yes. we can tell in favour and against. Bulls are trained to defend themselves and they grow strong and they have healthy cows and buls.

Some of these cultural traditions are very important to the people concerned. I can imagine there is a lot of talk about such a thing.

Bulls are not normal runners. They are forced into it by changing their mind set by physical and mental torture. Here is a link that tells you more about the protest
Life has come to a standstill as protests over Jallikattu continue in Tamil Nadu on Friday.

I think this game should t have been banned because it have been played for thousands of years. I see it as a tradition that should be passed to generations
