Thoughts On Trump

Okay. I am on a roll tonight. One last look at my thoughts on Dumpy Trumpy: 66% of America want Trump to quit tweeting and get to work. He calls this 2/3's of Americans 'the enemy'. So cut and dry with him. If you aren't his friend and agree with all he does, you are his enemy. Salesman, con-man, liar. Big time. He says things I think even he knows isn't true. Feels America is a land of carnage. Tombstones where factories used to be. I don't hear anything positive. Abamacare is an abomination. Yet it helped how many millions of Americans with health care? Like 11 million people were helped who couldn't have afforded decent healthcare otherwise. He promises to make America big again. When did it become anything but 'big'? In one breath he says "America is wonderful". And, in another one he says " This carnage must stop" That he will make America great again. Make up your mind Donald J. Trump. He is now the president of these united states. He needs to stop talking like he is campaigning and make some good points to the people instead of seeming to feed off the homage he seems to feel he is getting from the crowds. I think that his inaugural speech should have lifted America up not left us feeling nervous and riled to the point or rioting in the streets. Talks big about the vets. He neither served nor did he keep his promise to donate to their causes. Is he really a man we can judge by standard norms. I hope things do get better. What are your thoughts on this man and his term? Bernie where are you?

Having friends whose husbands worked for the man many years ago - I had a low opinion of him then. I am not allowed to use the words on here that would get me thrown out.

@Jessicalynnt Of course he hasn't changed, he has no reason to - he gets what he wants.

I know someone who met him as well, she said he was then a megalomaniac, sexist and racist then, and I dont see that he has changed by his own words

I actually feel that mankind has been setback to the stone ages with Trump at the helm of the world's most powerful nation.

@tallawah and @AbbyGreenhill of course, there's a part of me that hopes that I'm wrong and Trump will make a good leader over-all but so far that is hard to see.

Well I watched the inauguration yesterday some of it anyway and when I saw him dancing to the parade music..I thought hmm he is just as crazy as the rest of us lolz..I am not going to be worried at all..I dont know what he is going to achieve but I still have hope somehow. It is all I can say about him right now. And if he seriously steps out of line in Washington, I know the old fogies will snap him back to reality, whatever that is lol

I have seen a bit of a change in him over the last few months and so that has given me hope. I still have concerns and will be watching in hopes he does good for us.

he has actually already allowed cuts that are hurting vets. And yes, he seems to care more about putting in gold rugs and curtains in an office that looked fine, and running his mouth on twitter than actually doing any good.

@just4him .....We HAVE to give him a chance. But, we can also voice our concerns. That is one reason I posted this.

@just4him sorry he's already ruined that chance, and hasn't even been in the office a month, lies, gag orders, that pipeline, tanking ACA and then putting hire freezes on the VA so they can't hire the bodies they need to take care of the vets they already have, not to mention all the ones on ACA who will be heading their way. Refusing to release his tax returns. Hiring his son in law (is he above nepo laws? apparently so) Guy makes me angrier each day he exists.

You need to give him a chance. Every president decorates the White House to their taste.

I went to the White House site this morning and did some reading. I'm encouraged not discouraged. He can't do it alone, Congress and the Senate need to work with him.

the site made me cry. so much good was taken down, add more sure, but all the good stuff, the support for the arts, LGBT, climate change, etc. I did research, it wasn't that it was taken down (that happens), it's that none of these things came back.

@Jessicalynnt It isn't what Obama stands for anymore, but what Trump's administration is about. So there will be changes.

Honestly, I don't have the best impression on Trump. I don't really like what he has said and what he said he'd like to do when in office. But we'll see and this is just my impression.

As I probably said before, I just don't know what will happen from this day forward . . . makes me ill that "this" is what represents the leadership in our country. Yah, where's Bernie?!

I have never, ever heard of a President who tweets on Twitter. I think it's kind of embarrassing. I am so afraid of what will happen now that he is our President.

Obamacare hurt the small company I worked for, when my boss had to provide medical for everyone, he just couldn't do it, or face a penalty. It did not help me get any better health care than I already had. Not really a supporter of trump, but I won't knock him just yet, until we see what happens, as far as I had been concerned, he was a loose canon. No matter who is President, there are always going to be many complaints.

Yes, that's true. And, no matter what they say they want to do while in office, it all takes time. Obama did ALOT before he left office. Took him two terms to do it but he accomplished a lot. Obamacare may not be perfect but I hate to see it cut out completely. If part of it works why not just tweak it. Takes a lot of work to get another one going.

@celticeagle I am sure they will end up tweaking it, but keeping some of it.It would take a lot of work to reinvent it.

Yes, he is unpopular. He comes into office with the lowest approval of any president in history. About 38% is what I saw.
