Mom went to her blood transfusion today. They did two bag's worth of blood, which took a few hours.
Our family friend and I went to go have lunch while Mom was having her first transfusion so that Mom could maybe sleep a bit.
The nurse said that after the transfusion she might feel better (more oxygenated), and it seems that that's what it did. :) Mom found that she could walk a little further without getting out of breath. 
Our friend commented that her color was better, too.
Granted, the blood transfusion was not the "cure-all" by any means, but at least it made things a little better.

I can remember having a blood transfusion about having one of the babies and I know I felt quite a bit better after.
