My Baby is Still Sick!

My poor baby boy is still sick. I knew those fevers he started out with had to be something more. His fevers have not been back but my son's been coughing really hard and often. It gets worse at night and in the mornings. His face gets red when he tries to hold in the coughs especially when he is sleeping. We took him to the urgent care today to have it checked out because I don't like how sick he has been. After the doctor took a look into his mouth and heard the symptoms, he saw that my son's tonsils were swollen and red. He has tonsillitis which sucks. No wonder my son hasn't been eating much, it was probably hurting to swallow solid food. He is all stuffed up now and still coughing but hopefully the penicillin gets rid of the tonsillitis. I'll be starting school this week which makes me sad that he is sick now because I want to care for him. I got tonsillitis too often as a kid so my tonsils had to be removed. I hope it doesn't end up being the same case with my son. For those who don't know, tonsillitis is when your tonsils get infected causing them to get red, sore, and swollen. Have you had your tonsils removed? What is the worst sickness dealing with your ears, mouth, or nose that you've ever had? Mine would be strep throat. That was such an awful time for me.
