Mom's in the hospital again. She was acting a bit odd today, getting her words mixed up and stuff. I wound up calling 911 and the paramedics came, and took her to our local hospital. As they were taking her a neighbor came over and asked if she could help, and after I made a phone call she took me to the emergency room. There, they gave her a couple of tests and said that she had had a mild stroke. Somewhere in there I got a hold of my brother. While Mom was in the emergency room, they gave her a couple of tests (raise your arms above your head, touch your nose, what's the date, etc.) and determined that she had (their words) a mild stroke. My brother and I stayed a couple of hours, and they transferred Mom to another hospital. Mom was supposed to have her second chemo treatment tomorrow. Guess that's not going to happen.

My sister had a mild stroke recently and she was getting her words all mixed up. Luckily she recovered very well. Hopefully your Mum will too.

So sorry to hear this. Your mom has been through so much lately. I hope she recovers from this mild stroke quickly and is able to continue with her chemo as soon as possible. She is in my prayers every day. God Bless her.
