Foods that increase the metabolism

It is important to keep the metabolism of the body at higher efficiency rate as it is only the food that determines the health of a person About 70-75% of food tells about your health and about your fitness. Now, it becomes important to know as to what are the foods that increase the metabolism.
Water is an important part of the food. It should be taken for about 8 glasses (minimum) per day to keep the functioning of the various organs of the body smooth and effective.
Eating eggs increases the cholesterol level. But, it does not mean that we should avoid egg whites. They are rich in Vitamin D and Amino acids which are important in making wonders in the metabolism process
It will be quite interesting to know that Coffee is a great tool in improving the metabolism rate. Excessive drink of Coffee is of course not good for health. But, the coffee drinkers will have about 16% higher rate of metabolism than in a normal man.

Thanks sir! Please comment on the diet of people who smokes a lot. Why regular smokers find it difficult to quit ? One of my friend's says, he feels constipated if he wont smoke.. Pls advise

I am a huge Water drinker lately, and very known to drink at least my 8 glasses daily lately, and many times more. I find it a Great way to flush out some of the extra toxins, I am not a Coffee drinker except for the ocassional Star Bucks but find that a nice treat once in a while.

It is interesting that coffee increases the metabolism. I didn't know that.
